Yup, you see right. That's a finished hat. And I am really pleased with how it turned out. As is Amanda because it is hers since it is a bit too big for me. But that's alright because I can see it on her. I will have to go down a needle size to 2's. As soon as I get a pair I will make myself one. I have plenty of yarn left in the kit to make at least one more if not two if I add yarn.
Tired tonight so I'll add more soon.

Happy Birthday to me! Lookie what my sister made for me.
She is the best. They are some fun little stitch markers and I just may make myself a pair of earrings out of one of the cups and one of the coffee beans. Cute! She also made me a big ole batch of lemon cornmeal cookies. Mmmmmmmmmmmm. So good. I just had one and they are fabulous. Thanks sis!!

I haven't knitted for the past few days...I know, I know. Don't faint, it's alright. I had been felled by some nasty virus and it was AWFUL. I woke up Thursday and was so dizzy that I actually fell into the wall and was just so sick. I couldn't even stand up and spent 2 days flat on the couch on my back. I still can't lie on my left side without almost passing out from the waves of dizziness and nausea. I couldn't even have my eyes look to the left without getting sick. It was some kind of nasty. But, Thank God I'm getting better. Still not hungry though. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Here is what I finished the other day. It's the scrunchable cowl from Ravelry and I love it. It's made with Cascade Eco Alpaca and sooooooooo soft.

Okay, time to go lie down again. See you soon.

As promised here is the yarn that I dyed with KoolAid. The colors are actually prettier than they show up here. But overall I'm pretty pleased with it. I will definately dye some more but with much more concentrated colors.

Now I just have to find a good pattern for it. I guess that a pattern for a handpainted or hand dyed yarn would be good. I suppose I will just have to browse Ravelry.*sigh* heehee.

Mug o' the day. It's a lovely mug and the inside color is such a nice shade of blue. And I "loves'' it. Right now having the last of my Spiced Christmas tea from Coffee Emporium where they not only sell coffee (you all saw that coming right?) but some very tasty teas. My favorite is called Arctic Fire that is a lovely black tea with corn flowers in it as well as some other flavors that I'm not sure about. But has a nice bright taste and I really enjoy it.

Ta-dah! I present the Chullo hat. I'm moving right along on it and it's alot of fun. I am now knitting with a different color in each hand (I know...aren't I fancy?) and while it's slower going than my regular knitting it's growing by leaps and bounds. I am pretty pleased with it.

It's bitterly cold today. Started out below zero with the wind chill...why do they always feel the need to tell us the temperature with the wind chill? I feel so much colder after I know. It only got to 24* but, of course the wind chill! brought it to the low teens and sometimes in the single digits. I looked out and decided that I really didn't need to go to the library or run any errand today. So lots of tea and knitting for me.
Went to a SuperBowl sale at www.fiberge.com and got myself some birthday swag. I'll have to take some photos but I'll tease you with some descriptions.
4 skeins of Mango Moon Capelli @ 1.00 each. Such a bargain that I couldn't pass up. It's a lovely mango color and is destined to become a shawl.
A Happy Choices flat by Plymouth Yarns for a fun pair of socks. I'm looking forward to using that. I've heard good things about Flat Feet and I assume it's pretty much the same type of thing.
I cannot remember the last thing but I will definately take some photos to show you.
And the next time I'll share my dying experience with some KnitPicks Bare sock yarn and some Kool-aid. Fun and I have some super sock yarn to play with. Always a plus.
Well, it's time for some flannel jimjams and a robe so see you soon.
