Yes, I'm busted. This is a new sock that I cast on yesterday. I know, I know. I swore that I wasn't going to do that but after I finished mom's socks (see picture farther down) she "moaned" that she just didn't have enough socks so I felt obligated to make her another pair. I just turned the heel and am going right along.
The yarn is Berrocco Comfort Sox and is a very pretty autumnal color. But rather muted.



Finger is all better now! Thanks for the concern. It really only slowed me down on dpn's and using the keyboard.
Here's a closer picture of the sock I did for mom. I actually did finish them.

Glad to hear that your finger is better! I just scraped up the side of my hand on one of those apple peeler/corer/slicer contraptions. Ah, well, as long as our injuries don't stop us from knitting! :)
